Let's get to the point: People who need to quickly and easily delete their browsing history from mobile devices are in luck. Google has now begun rolling out its privacy feature, previously announced by the company. It will erase the last 15 minutes of search history.


Google I/O 2021 was when the company first announced the "quick delete," along with several privacy- and safety-focused tools. It was a highly requested feature by users, according to the firm.

The tool is currently only available for iOS users, but it will soon be available on Android. According to the company.


To use quick delete, you must be signed in to Search with a Google Account. To access this option, users can tap on the avatar icon and choose "Delete last 15 mins."

Desktop users can delete all their app and web activity automatically (via Activity Controls) every three, eighteen, or thirty-six months. They also have the option to remove all history or delete each entry individually manually.


Google claims it tracks search history only to "personalize" user experiences when "Web Activity" is enabled.

It wasn't easy to delete your Google search history from mobile before. This is why it's much easier and faster for users who browse content that they don't want others to know about.
